Hey there, I’m Linsie!
Over 10 years ago, I moved to Idaho, knowing absolutely no one. It was a big change, and it hit me hard. Being 14 hours away from my hometown, I quickly realized that making friends as an adult isn't as simple as it used to be. Remember when you were a kid and could just walk up to someone on the playground and say, "You're my friend now"? Well, adult friendships are a little more complicated.
One night, while lying in bed with RC, we brainstormed: How could I meet people? What could I do to connect with others? And then, like a lightbulb moment, it hit me: Scentsy.
I did what any person in my position would do. I searched social media for a local consultant, found one with a cute photo and a sweet story. I had no idea who she was, but I thought, “Why not?” So, I signed up.
To my surprise, she actually reached out to me, and we met for coffee. In my mind, the worst case scenario was that I’d have one new person to talk to in town.
Fast forward 8.5 years, and not only do I have a solid group of friends locally, but I’ve also connected with hundreds—if not thousands—of people all over the world.
When I first joined Scentsy, it was NEVER about the wax or the money. It was about finding a community. It was about a girl who needed friends. And in Scentsy, I found that. I found a group of people who supported me through my mom’s passing, celebrated the good times with me, and continue to show up for me, day after day.
